Tobacco Control Initiative

Leonard J. Chabert Medical Center (LJC) offers help to anyone interested in quitting smoking. If you are a smoker ready to quit, you have several options to choose from.  Options available to help you quit include: 

  1. Medication assistance at a FREE or reduced cost (e.g. Nicotine patch, Varenicline, and Bupropion) for qualified patients
  2. Access to the Louisiana Quit-Line (1-800-QUIT-NOW) for FREE telephone counseling
  3. FREE Group behavioral counseling classes, and FREE Self-help materials for patients interested in quitting on their own
